New Year

Sunday January 20th:

Hello, I know it's already almost the end of January, so it's a little late, but I hope that everyone had a Wonderful Holiday season and I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Last Sunday January 13th, I covered the Albany Devils - Bridgeport Sound Tigers American Hockey League game at the Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Here is the link: http://insidehockey.com/photo-gallery-bridgeport-vs-albany-11313  Bridgeport won 5-4, it was a very exciting game.

The Albany Devils have only two more games at the Boardwalk Hall, so come out and show your support. If we want hockey to come back to Atlantic City than we need to come out and pack the Hall. For many I understand, it's the Devils and your a Flyers fan. Well the Flyers are not moving out of Philly anytime soon and the Phantoms are waiting on their new building to be finished in Allentown. So why not just be a hockey fan and enjoy a game, by coming out and showing support we just might land a hockey team in AC once again. I for one really enjoyed going to the Boardwalk Bullies games from 2001-2005, but it was a lack of support that sent them packing off to Stockton CA. To be able to possibly land an AHL team right here in our backyards would just be fantastic. To be able to see future NHL players for a fraction of the cost would be a blessing for most of us. AHL ticket prices in AC range from $16 to $26, and $26 has you in the first two rows. The cheapest seat at a Flyers game is somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 give or take I believe. That's for one ticket in the upper bowl. That's alot of coin my friends, I'll continue to support minor league hockey and have just as much fun. Oh and yes it's nice that the NHL season began yesterday, it's about time. The Lockout should have been resolved a long time ago, but I for one am very happy that the lockout is over.   GAME ON!!!!!

Albany Devils remaining schedule in Atlantic City:

Sunday January 20th vs Adirondack Phantoms 4:00 pm
Sunday February 24th vs Hershey Bears 4:00 pm

Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy had been projected to be a huge hurricane heading right towards us and sure enough it hit us and hit us hard. Some of us we very lucky, and others were not. Clean up could take week's maybe even months, some places will sadly just never be the same.

My photos start out in Ocean City early Sunday afternoon as Sandy moves towards us and then a few from Tuesday. Still hoping to get onto a few of the barrier islands to get some photos.

My Pics Have Been Published

Well, today is my birthday, and one of the greatest gifts that a photographer could ever receive arrived the other day.

I have had four of my photos published in a brand new book titled "Legends Of Pro Wrestling" 150 Years of Headlocks, Bodyslams and Piledrivers by Tim Hornbaker. The photos of mine in the book are of Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and Sheamus.

It should be out in stores very soon. This is a must have for any wrestling fan as it is very well written and of course the photography is outstanding too.

Thanks,

Bill

Hockey Season

So, hockey season is now officially over for this season. What an incredible ride it was! I shot 16 Flyers home games, the AHL Outdoor Classic, the AHL All-Star Classic, the ECAC Championships and than the Flyers/Pens game 3 of the first round of the playoffs.

Thank You Kevin Greenstein and Inside Hockey for letting me cover the greatest game on Earth. I'm not sure if I will be able to top that next season, but I already can't wait.

The schedule is filling up with some very interesting shoots that I'm really looking forward to. I'm always looking for new things to shoot to allow my photography to grow to new horizons.

See you soon,

Bill

Look How I Have Grown

Hello,

Happy April Fools Day, No April Fools jokes here, at least not today. Sure I could say that I won the Power Ball however most of us have heard all that way too much today, so I wont try fooling anyone today. LOL So it's been over a month since my last blog. One of my goals was to be a better blogger this year, somehow I dropped the ball in March. Well March Madness is now over, it was a crazy month. I covered 12 hockey games for Inside Hockey, 8 Flyers games and 4 ECAC games, so that was very exciting. We also changed up our website, it's brand new with lots of new images. We'll be adding and moving stuff around over the next few weeks looking to keep the site fresh. So April is looking like another fun month, can't wait to share some of my images that we have instore for you.

April 1st is a very special day for Alicia and me, two years ago today we received the most wonderful little kitten. She has been the best addition that we could have ever asked for. I never thought that I would become a cat person however our little girl has changed my attitude completely. Our baby is very special and I could not image our life without her. Here is a photo of her first day with us and a photo of her today.

Another February

Well, it's been a very unusual winter with the weather being anything but cold. Hopefully, everyone has been enjoying their winter season, not having to shovel the snow that we have dealt with the past few winters.

February was a bit slow as most winters are, only covering two Flyers games for Inside Hockey this month.

On Feb 4th covered the Flyers/Devils games in Philly here is the link to those photos. http://insidehockey.com/photo-gallery-devils-flyers-20412

Than a week later covered the Flyers/Rangers game here's the link.

March is really looking exciting, lots of things already booked and hoping to launch a brand new website.

January Review

Hope that everyone is enjoying this Spring like weather, hard to believe that it was 63 degrees here in South Jersey today. It's been a very mild Winter so far. I must say, I do miss having the occasional snow storm, but  don't miss the brutal sub-zero temperatures that we see from time to time during the Winter.

So far 2012 has been a pretty good month for me. January I covered the Hershey Bears/Adirondack Phantoms Outdoor Classic at Citizens Bank Park, the Ottawa Senators / Flyers, the New York Islanders / Flyers, the Boston Bruins / Flyers, and the AHL All-Star Classic at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Covering these games for Inside Hockey was a blast. I'll be covering a few more Flyers games this month but I'm not sure that February will compare to January.

Here's a few photo's that I took in Ocean City, NJ yesterday. Alicia and I had the day off and got to enjoy the beautiful day.

Whale on OC Beach

Early Monday afternoon (Jan 23rd) a 60 ft female Finback Whale washed up on the 7th Street Beach in Ocean City NJ. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine performed a necropsy (autopsy) on the whale on Tuesday and their findings were that the whale had been struck by a boat and had been dead for about a week. With the help on the Ocean City Public Works crews, the whale was cut up and buried near the Ocean City/Longport bridge.

Hockey Action

January has been a very exciting month for me. This month I have covered 5 hockey games for Inside Hockey and am very much looking forward to covering the AHL All-Star Classic which takes place on Jan 29th and 30th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. On Jan 19th I shot the Flyers - New York Islanders game which was won by the Islander 4-1.

Than Sunday afternoon I covered the Flyers/Bruins game for Inside Hockey. This was one of the most exciting games that I have ever been to, it was like a game from the 70's between the Big Bad Bruins and the Broad Street Bullies. The Bruins won 6-5 in a shootout. There were 3 fights and 60 plus hits, now this was some old-time hockey.

A Weekend in Philly

So the first week of 2012 was a very exciting week for me. Friday night I covered the Hershey Bears vs Adirondack Phantoms hockey game played at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. This game also known as the 2012 Outdoor Classic was played in front of a record breaking crowd of 45,653.

Here is the link of my photos on Inside Hockey:

On Saturday, I was back in Philadelphia again covering another game for Inside Hockey. The Ottawa Senators were in town to play the Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.  The Flyers would win in overtime 3-2.

Here is the link for that game:

Goodbye 2011 - Hello 2012

So yesterday was January 1st, it was like a beautiful Spring day, not a Winter day. Alicia and I decided to take a ride over to Ocean City for a stroll on the beach. There were a lot of people out, a few fishing and others just out and about enjoying the 1st day of Spring...lol.

Hope everyone has a Happy, Healthy, Safe and Prosperous New Year.

First Assignment

Hello, would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year.

For my final blog of 2011 I wanted to share a highlight of 2011 which just happened earlier this month. On December 10th I had my first NHL assignment for Inside Hockey. I covered the game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The Flyers won the game 5-2, here is the link so that you can see the photos. http://insidehockey.com/photo-gallery-tampa-bay-philadelphia OK, that's all for now folks.
